Dr. Prerna Kumar is a distinguished Internist and Nephrologist with extensive clinical expertise from premier institutions in the United States and India. A graduate of Internal Medicine from Montefiore Medical Center at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, she pursued her DM in Nephrology at the University of Iowa, followed by specialized fellowship training in Transplant Nephrology.
Before returning to India, Dr. Kumar served as an Assistant Professor of Medicine and Surgery in Transplant Nephrology at the University of Illinois, Chicago. Her practice focuses on adult medicine, specializing in the management of complex chronic conditions, acute illnesses, and preventive care.
With a dedicated focus on hypertension and kidney health—ranging from chronic kidney disease to transplant care—Dr. Kumar believes in a holistic approach. She integrates yoga, meditation, and spiritual well-being into her medical philosophy, ensuring a comprehensive path to healing for every patient.
